CHARGING SITES

As of January 2022, there are 2.5M Electric Vehicles in operation in the U.S. By 2030, there will be over 28M Electric Vehicles in operation in the U.S.

As of January 2022, there are fewer than 45,000 public EV charging sites. 42.0% of these sites are in California.

Plug-in Vehicles Sold

Europe has 62 public charging stations per 100,000 people. Contrarily, the U.S. has only 37 public charging stations per 100,000 people.

59,554 plug-in vehicles were sold in February 2022, up 68.9% from February 2021.

Battery-powered Vehicles

2022 Q2 sales of battery-powered electric vehicles jumped to 196,788, a record high and a 13% increase from Q1.

In Q2 2021, there were 19 EV models for sale in the U.S. One year later, the number jumped to 33.
